The BMW CCA Foundation invites you to join in our Gala Celebration on Friday, May 21! For those who are disappointed with the postponement of the Vintage, we are hosting a handful of BMW events on that day. Please help us celebrate
- the closing of the GENESIS exhibit
- the launch of the new museum name and membership program
- dedication of the new Founders’ Garden.
Closing of GENESIS Exhibit
May 21 is the last day to enjoy the GENESIS exhibit as we say goodbye to the BMW cars from 1929–1965. This exhibit is rich in BMW history, design, and technological advances over the years, and it is a rare opportunity to see these cars under one roof—don’t miss it!
New Museum Name
The launch of the new museum name will be celebrated with guest speakers, dedications, tributes, and the burial of a fabulous BMW time capsule which won’t be opened for ten years.
Private Tour of GENESIS Exhibit hosted by BMW Experts
BMW NA Director of Communications Tom Plucinsky and author and BMW historian Jackie Jouret will guide attendees through some little-known details about several of the cars in the GENESIS exhibit during a private tour.
Dedication of the Founders’ Garden
The BMW CCA Foundation site has been transformed with the new BMW-themed Founders’ Garden. We will dedicate this garden and provide an opportunity for guests to purchase trees, plants, flowers, and stone structures to honor or memorialize friends and loved ones—it’s also is an excellent way to honor our hard-working club officers!
Book Signing by Jackie Jouret
Author and BMW historian Jackie Jouret will be on site to autograph her books. In addition to writing Genesis: BMW From The Beginning, Jouret also authored previous exhibition books Heroes of Bavaria: 75 Years of BMW Motorsport, The Icon: 50 Years of The 2002, and Passion: 50 Years of BMW Cars & Community.
Private Tour of Plant Spartanburg Paint-and-Body Shops
BMW Group Plant Spartanburg will open the doors of its paint-and-body shops to a limited number of 50 lucky guests for a private tour. Guests will don protective clothing and get a chance to watch the bodies of new BMW SAVs and SACs as they’re painted ahead of assembly. This tour is generally only available to BMW VIPs, and we are delighted to offer it to our guests on this special occasion!
BMW Performance Center Free-Flow Driving Experience
For the first 100 registrants, the BMW Performance Center will offer a Free-Flow driving experience which includes activities such as a rat race, timed runs, and off-roading in X vehicles. Guests will also experience an exhilarating hot-lap ride with professional BMW Performance Center instructors. This Free-Flow driving experience is normally priced at $262 per person, but will be offered to our guests at this Gala Celebration at a special rate of just $99.
