The #34 Walkenhorst Motorsport M6 GT3 driven by Nicky Catsburg, Chandler Hull, and Jon Miller finished third in the GT class in the first of two four-hour Asian Le Mans Series races run in Dubai on the weekend of February 13–14. The car dropped out early in the second race after contact with another car. The GT win on Saturday went to Ralf Bohn, Alfred Renauer, Robert Renauer in the #99 Precote Herbeth Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R, and the Sunday win went to Julien Andlauer, Axcil Jefferies, and Alain Ferté in the #40 GTX Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R.
A second Walkenhorst M6 GT3 driven by Henry Walkenhorst, Jörg Breuer, and Sami Matti Trogen won the GT Am class in the Saturday race and finished third in class on Sunday when the win went to Christian Hook, Manuel Lauck, and Patrick Kujala in the #66 Rinaldi Racing Ferrari 488 GT3.
This year’s Asian Le Mans Series consists of only four races, all run in the UAE in February. The final pair of races will be run on February 19 and 20 on the Yas Marina Circuit in Dubai.—Brian Morgan
