The BMW Car Club of America exists because of the efforts of volunteers. In the real world, most of us have jobs, and many do our jobs well; our reward for doing this can be keeping the job, getting a raise, or perhaps receiving a bonus or two.
Volunteers in the BMW CCA get nothing, except the satisfaction of being a volunteer and helping their fellow club members. This applies to people who volunteer to be an elected official, or who volunteer to help run a chapter event. While raises and bonuses are out of the question, these hardworking members can perhaps receive an award—but only if other members nominate them for it.
The BMW CCA has three awards that recognize individuals (and couples) for their extraordinary efforts: the Outstanding Officer Award, the Outstanding Chapter Volunteer Award, and the highest honor bestowed upon a member, the Friend Of The BMW CCA Award.
If you know someone who you believe should be considered for one of these awards, please take the time to nominate them. Remember, without a nomination, their efforts may go unrewarded. Details of the awards and the nomination form can be found here on the BMW CCA website. Please note: only nominations submitted through the official process will be accepted.
The deadline for nominations for the 2018 calendar year is January 31, 2019, so make your nominations soon!
