What do you get when you combine 1,300 BMW enthusiasts, 700 cars, and more than ten days of driving and car-show festivities? Something like the 49th BMW CCA Oktoberfest presented by Michelin, the annual gathering of the BMW Car Club of America that was combined this year with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
We could wax poetic for pages about the spectacle of two of our favorite annual events joining forces to celebrate BMW enthusiasm, but thankfully we already have an excellent recap from Scott Blazey on the subject. We’re told that there will be a full O’Fest recap video soon, but with the week still fresh in our minds, we wanted to share the early event-recap video you see above, produced by the BMW CCA.
Want to get in on the fun? Next year’s O’Fest gathering will be a homecoming in Greenville, South Carolina, and will showcase BMW Group’s Plant Spartanburg, the Zentrum, and the BMW Performance Center, as well as the facilities of the BMW CCA, the BMW CCA Foundation, and Michelin of North America. The event will be held in October 2019—we can’t wait to see you there!—David Rose
